Special Announcement: P2Pvalue and Google Summer of Code 2016

P2Pvalue team members working on SwellRT and Teem have some very exciting news to share, along with an invitation.

The Berkman Center application to the Google Summer of Code was accepted, along with its projects – including SwellRT and Teem. Three of our P2Pvalue team members – Mayo Fuster Morell, Primavera De Filippi and Samer Hassan, are closely linked to the Berkman Center, with Samer being currently there, thus making the application possible. This means that we now have an excellent opportunity to extend an invitation to students interested in collaborating on these projects to participate along with us. If you’re not familiar already, the Google Summer of Code program, held annually, is one which stipends are awarded to all students who successfully complete a free and open-source software coding project during the summer.

Any student, worldwide, enrolled in a university, whether as an undergrad, master or PhD candidate, can submit an application to join us. Have a look at the Teem and SwellRT project summaries and expectations, and let’s expand our free/open source communities! You can also see the main page with the Berkman Center projects in this wiki entry.

Please feel free to share this post with any computer science students and professors you happen to know, so we can maximize this opportunity!
