P2Pvalue Finalist in OKFN Awards

The P2Pvalue project was a finalist in the 2nd OKFN Awards in the Best Open science initiative category.

The Spanish chapter of the Open Knowledge Foundation awards the best initiatives in six categories that have made visible or give practical use for the public, industry and economics of open data and knowledge.

The awards seek to promote the best projects and global initiatives highlighting their real impact on society. The awards consist of six categories including best promotion of Entrepreneurship initiatives based on open knowledge, Transparency (no public projects), Open Science, Open Data with involvement of Citizenship/society, the best business on open knowledge, and best Transparency public initiative through open data.

The awards ceremony took place on February 21 at MediaLab Prado in Madrid, coinciding with the celebration of the World Day of Open Knowledge and featured a speech by President of the Open Knowledge Foundation, Rufus Pollock and awards in various categories. Also the winner of a special initiative: the anti-award ‘padlock’ to the more opaque and closed initiative, whether public or private, elected by the registered user of the prize page was announced.
